App for PCs Mobile App on PCs In our tutorial to install Viber for PC, one of the step is to download Android Emulator Bluestacks. A lot of our readers have reported on our facebook page that they are not able to download or install Bluestacks on their PCs. We have done some research into what is going on and our team found out the cases when you can or cannot install Bluestacks. Since Viber for PC can only be installed through an android emulator, Bluestacks installation error can be a major issue. Let us talk about some of the common errors and then we will give some suggestions that might get a few of you to get Bluestacks installed on your PC and eventually you will be able to make free international calls using your Viber phone app on your PC.
Bluestacks Graphics Card Incompatibility Error
The most common problem is when you try to install Bluestacks and it says
Bluestacks cannot be installed on this PC because the Graphics card is not compatible with Bluestacks.
If you ever ran into this issue, you gotta like this
The graphics card is required by Bluestacks for a lot of things that it does. Whenever you want to draw any graphic on screen, such as shades, color rich objects, or even simple drawings, you will benefit from a graphics card. Although Bluestacks might not need that great graphics capabilities, the android apps that will run on it will demand it. With the advent of technology, Graphics cards have been employed for processing as well. Which means, you can now use GPUs for number crunching as well, this is called GPGPUs (General Purpose Graphics Processing units). Sorry for digressing. Coming back to the point, you need your graphics card to work with Bluestacks.
Here are a few solutions that might be useful in your case.
Power Setting Conflict Resolution
If your PC’s (laptops and netbooks as desktops don’t run on battery) power setting is such that it lowers the capacity of graphics card in order to give you a longer time to use your device. However, if this is the case when you install Bluestacks it will assume your Graphics card is not very powerful and hence Bluestacks installation will complain about incompatibility of your graphics card.
How to solve this: Connect your laptop or netbook to its charger and then try to install Bluestacks.
Bluestacks Graphics Driver Error (Not the card but drivers)
If you visit windows update under start menu -> All Programs -> Windows update, you will see a list of updates available for your PC. If graphics card drivers are listed as one of the available updates, you should apply these updates. Also, try to go to the device manager – Right click on My Computer and select properties. Then click on Device manager and see if you see any yellow symbol or red symbol. If that symbol appears in front of your graphics card, your drivers are missing. You will have to install them either from the internet or from the DVD if one came with it.
How to solve this: Install latest drivers for your graphics card. If your card is Intel visit this page (USA site) to see if they have newer drivers for you. For AMD visit this and for NVidia drivers you go here.
Bluestacks error 2318 – dock conflict
If you ran into this problem, the reason is that you are already using a program that is using the dock. For instance, if you installed RocketDock, you will not be able to install Bluestacks. If you want to install Bluestacks you will need to uninstall the other program that used a dock.
How to solve this: In order to fix this problem, uninstall the other software and install bluestacks. if it does not work store the following two lines in a notepad and rename the file as “viberforpc.reg” (don’t forget the double quotes. You won’t see the double quotes in the final name though, just during save dialong box.)
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RocketDock] [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\StackDocklet]
This will clean the registry and then you should be able to install bluestacks.Then go ahead and follow the tutorial to get Viber for PC. You should be able to get Viber phone app working on your device in no time.
If you are still not able to install Bluestacks let us know and we will help you guys with what is going on. If you have a very old PC it might not have the graphics card that can run OpenGL and thus Android won’t run on it. The another common solution is to install ooVoo, uninstall Bluestacks, download the new version, and install again.

You must have a graphics card. What is possible is that you don’t have an external graphics card. If your on-board graphics card is good enough you should be able to download Bluestacks as well as Viber for PC. Let me know a little more about your PC model and I can dig that for you.

After scouring the net for two days, I upgraded the ATI display drivers for win8 using the beta release of the driver and it worked like magic! I’ve been having the same issue – I’m assuming my laptop/graphics are just too ancient for BlueStacks. …which surprises me, considering the amount of relatively strict (on graphics properties) games I play on this thing daily. Anything from WoW, to TERA – Various “HD” games….all seem to run fine without ever giving me an issue about my horrible graphics card – but BlueStacks obviously is far more advanced than MMORPGs from gigantic companies who have been around forever. Bluestacks in hungry for graphics. It is mostly because of the android emulator’s requirements for high graphics as posed by the games and apps such as Viber and angry birds for pc. Hopefully, the later versions will improve upon it and we will be able to see something better going forward.

I have a PC with XP SP3 and Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E 4600 2,40 GHz (2 GB RAM)
and
Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family (up-to-date driver for that is G31 (XP Home Edition), File name: inxp_14374.exe, Date: 01/23/2010, Version: 14.37.4.5218. I did an update to that after my first try to install bluestacks).
During installation of bluestacks with this new driver I received the 25000 error again (“BlueStacks currently doesn’t recognize your grahphics card.”)
May be there is just the solution of getting an extra external graphic card.

The graphics driver error is a weird error which could be the result of a lot of things. Have you updated your windows operating system? Make sure that there is no pending update. Let us know how it goes.
Brothers i have found a solution after very long time. 1st you need to update your graphic card than the most important thing is you need to change your color Quality from 16bit to 32 bit under the graphic properties. i had the same problem but after changing 16bit to 32bit i am able to install bluestakes. i hope this will work for you. Can you tell us when did you install Bluestacks? There is a newer version with a bunch of bug fixes. Try installing that and see if it helps. Another thing is to install Bluestacks when your laptop is connected to the power adapter.
If this does not help the problem appears to be related to video (not necessarily video cards as everything else works fine.). Is this only happening with Bluestacks or other programs as well?

This is a tricky one. Running Windows in a virtual machine means you are running a virtual graphics card. One thing I can suggest from the top of my head is to turn on 3D acceleration under virtualbox. It might start using the advanced properties of your graphics card that way. Let us all know how it goes.

I cannot find out if your graphics driver has openGL capability or not but I will suggest you to update the drivers using Intel’s driver update tool. Then try uninstalling and installing again.

When did you install Bluestacks? If you installed id before a month we suggest you to uninstall it and then reinstall the version from our link above.
Also, did you install ooVoo before installing Bluestacks? Try installing oovoo, and then download and install bluestacks. It should work fine.

G33/G31 is integrated graphics. It is difficult to get Bluestacks to run on integrated graphics card. However, install the updated drivers, install oovoo, and then try reinstalling latest version of Bluestacks. Good luck.

It seems you will need a new graphics card or a PC. Bluestacks requires a lot more powerful graphics card than what usual PCs contain. We are trying to find an easier way to get away with this limitation. We will update you all as soon as we run into something like that.

May be downloading Windows XP Service Pack 3 will help you. However, I suggest downloading Windows 7 instead of SP3. It is a much better OS than XP.

I have the same problem as eul did: Bluestacks installs fine, but when I run it all I get is a black screen. I just installed it yesterday so it’s the most recent version. No other program does this.

Hi BlueStack team, I heard a lot about this software and watched many youtube videos about it, etc, and when I decided to install BlueStack, like many of users here, I also got the message “Bluesacks currently doesn’t recognize your graphic card.It is possible your graphic drivers may need to be updated, Please update them and try installing again.” I have a laptop TravelMate 2413NLM and graphic card Mobile Intel® 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family – http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intel915gm/sb/CS-020195.htm , with the latest drivers installed and also after installing ooVoo nothing changed. It’s still the same answer. Is it possible for you to make some changes into BlueStack software, to be able to recognise the older graphic cards, or maybe to make lite version of BlueStack ( just a thought :D ) ?

Error 25000 usually means your graphics card is wither too old or the drivers need to be updated. Please see if you can find latest drivers for your card. Otherwise, I am afraid I do not have a solution as of now.

When I try to run the .exe file, nothing runs and then the compatibility manager comes up asking if the program installed correctly, which it obviously didn’t, and then after clicking install using recommended settings, nothing happens. I have a Windows 7 Alienware with Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M display adapters. I have also downloaded all of the available updates. I don’t understand what’s going wrong! Right click on the file, go to properties and then compatibility. Select run this program for Windows 7 and it should work fine.
Hi I have a netbook its a acer aspire one dont exactly know the model naem but it does have windows 7 on it. When I download bluestacks It goes though a quick extraction to install it then I get a screen to pop up that says ‘Installing Bluestacks…’ it doesnt give me the downloading progress or anything it just says installing and welcome to bluestacks and I left it like that forever but nothing happened it just doesnt do anything after that. Whats the problem? (And i did update the graphics card and it doesnt tell me theres an error or anything)
hi mike, i hv a problem regarding bluestack… i hv downloaded the set up file . after installing it goes for download runtime data.. after it completes it will restart… bt it says cannot restart… den i close all.. nd open bluestack again. it runs bt only loading nd loading.. it wil not open??? hw wil it work..??? give me the solution???

I istalled bluestacks without any problems, but now when I open it says “the network is experiencing some problems. please retry or cancel”. That’s what it says every time I try to open it.

I finally found a way out for this problem on my laptop. I have got Intel GM45 Express Chipset Family integrated graphics. I checked Windows update and found an Intel Graphics update in the optional updates. Downloaded that and it installed fine.

How much RAM do you have? It seems your intel graphics card is not good enough for Bluestacks and thus you get the Bluestacks error of graphic driver update.

I had installed bluestacks few months ago but i couldn’t understand it so haven’t used it. today i was trying to use it but it wasn’t working so i uninstalled it. After that i noticed that there’s still a file in bluestack folder named “HD-LogRotatorService.exe”. which i’m not able to delete. now when i’m trying to install bluestacks again a small window is coming which says “bluestacks is already installed” and “bluestacks app player download is in progress” though nothing is going on. hope you have understood my problem and you will solve it. p.s i have 1gb external nvidia graphic card and i have used bluestacks also but i couldn’t understand it properly that time.

I´ve got the “Bluestacks cannot be installed on this PC because the Graphics card is not compatible…” error during installation. I just upgraded my graphics card driver (Intel HD Graphics 4000) and the installation worked fine.
